While Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu are currently shooting for Dobaaraa, their respective Mumbai residences were raided by the officials from the Income Tax department.
Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap recently made the headlines after the Income Tax department conducted a raid at their Mumbai residence this afternoon. The news was confirmed by ANI with a tweet that read as, “Income Tax raids underway at the properties of film director Anurag Kashyap and actor Taapsee Pannu in Mumbai: Income Tax Department.” The news indeed came as a shocker for everyone. In fact, a source has also informed Pinkvilla that filmmaker Vikas Bahl’s residence was also raided by the officials of the IT department.
According to media reports, the raids were conducted in connection with tax evasion and the officials had raided around 20 locations in Mumbai, Pune and other places including premises related to Phantom Films which was jointly owned by Anurag, Vikas and Madhu Mantena. Ever since the news has surfaced, social media has been abuzz and several memes are doing the rounds on different platforms regarding the IT raids at Taapsee and Anurag’s respective residence.
