Bullet Train producer TEASES Brad Pitt’s ‘never before seen’ performance in the action movie: He trained a lot

Bullet Train producer Kelly McCormick was all praises for Brad Pitt’s work ethic in the upcoming action flick, calling the Oscar winner a “generous actor and a good human being.”

After enthraling us all with his Oscar-winning act in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Brad Pitt has shifted gears to Bullet Train, David Leitch’s upcoming directorial based on Kotaro Isaka’s Japanese novel Maria Beetle. Along with Brad, Bullet Train is jam-packed with star power as Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Masi Oka and Andrew Koji along with Lady Gaga are a part of the action flick as well.

In a recent interview with Collider, Bullet Train producer Kelly McCormick spoke candidly about how Brad and David’s past equation is playing a key role in how deeply focused the 56-year-old star is towards his new outing. For the unversed, Leitch used to be Pitt’s stunt double, once upon a time. Kelly noted how seeing the duo now gives one hints of how their equation was but it’s “obviously completely different ” as their dynamic is a little bit different. Calling Brad and David “extraordinary partners” who are having a blast, McCormick was all praises for Pitt as well.

“In my opinion, this is a Brad performance that we’ve never seen him do before. It’s light, it’s fun, it’s crazy, and he’s having a ball, I think. And, we are too… He trained a lot. And, part of it, I think is because he’s working for the guy who used to take the punches for him, so he has something to prove,” Kelly confessed.

McCormick also recounted how in the early days of COVID-19, before they kickstarted shooting, the team used to go to Brad’s house all masked up, getting their tests and getting Pitt in fighting shape. “It was… He’s been very dedicated to the project,” Kelly concluded to Collider.

Bullet Train takes place inside a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka containing five assassins. These five characters begin to realise that their individual missions are connected with the final outcome being who makes it off the train alive and more importantly, what awaits them at the terminal station.
