Mindy Kaling tells Ben Affleck to ‘hang in there’ at DNC 2024 one day after Jennifer Lopez’s divorce filing

Mindy Kaling showed her support for Ben Affleck at the 2024 Democratic National Convention amid his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

The “Office” alum gave the actor a special shoutout while honoring their home state of Massachusetts onstage at the United Center in Chicago on Wednesday night.

“I couldn’t leave here without giving a shoutout to the amazing delegation from my home state, Massachusetts. I love you, Massachusetts!” Kaling, 45, said in her speech.

“Everyone is always hating on us! But they just don’t get it! Go [Boston Red] Sox! Go Jason Tatum! Ben Affleck, hang in there!”

“Dunkin’ Donuts is the best coffee in the world!” she quipped, referring to Affleck’s partnership with the brand.

The “Mindy Project” star’s words of encouragement came one day after Lopez, 55, filed for divorce from the Oscar winner, 52.

The “Jenny from the Block” singer submitted the documents in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon without an attorney.

Per the filing, the former couple separated on April 26.

A source told Page Six that J.Lo decided to pull the plug on their marriage on Aug. 20 — the second anniversary of her and Affleck’s Georgia wedding — to prove she’s “a woman standing up in her own way.”

Lopez and Affleck first tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022 before hosting a larger celebration with their friends and family a month later at the “Gone Girl” star’s home in the Peach State.

Sources also previously told us that Affleck — who was previously engaged to the pop star in the early 2000s — held off on filing for divorce to avoid embarrassing Lopez after their second shot at romance didn’t work out, which left her feeling “humiliated” and “frustrated.”

Despite remaining silent about their relationship status, the two fueled split rumors throughout the summer as the “Let’s Get Loud” singer vacationed solo in New York and Europe while Affleck remained in Los Angeles.

In July, they put their Beverly Hills, Calif., estate up for sale as the “Good Will Hunting” actor snagged a new mansion in Pacific Palisades.
