Madonna, Shakira & BTS Opens FIFA World Cup 2026 Halftime

For the first time, football, music, and social impact will unite at the World Cup Final. FIFA and Global Citizen confirmed that Madonna, Shakira, and BTS will co-headline the historic halftime show on 19 July 2026 at New York New Jersey Stadium, curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay.

The performance will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aiming to raise USD 100 million for children’s education and football opportunities worldwide. Already, USD 30 million has been raised, with USD 1 from every ticket contributing to global projects.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino called the show a celebration of “football, unity, and shared humanity.” Beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets will also join, reinforcing the mission of joyful learning.

Madonna described the opportunity as “deeply meaningful”, Shakira announced she will perform her anthem “Dai Dai” for the kids, and BTS highlighted music’s universal power to connect millions. Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans said the halftime show will leave a lasting legacy for children worldwide.

This landmark event blends star power, purpose, and unity, turning the World Cup Final into a celebration of hope and humanity.
