Dwayne Johnson Redefines Masculinity at Met Gala 2026

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stormed the Met gala 2026 red carpet with wife Lauren Hashian, making their debut in bold Thom Browne couture. Johnson commanded attention in a black mohair tailcoat, bow tie, and pleated skirt, while Hashian radiated elegance in a white halter-top gown with textured detailing.

Johnson transformed the night with a look that fuses heritage and high fashion. Artisans stitched over 350 meters of silk ribbons into skeletal patterns across his coat, while he accessorized with black-rimmed glasses, a brooch designed by Manish Malhotra and a dazzling Jacob & Co. Billionaire III watch covered in 714 diamonds.

Explaining his choice Johnson declared: “In Polynesian culture, the most masculine men wear lavalavas and skirts. I wanted to honor their tradition and show that masculinity isn’t confined to Western norms”. His statement turned the outfit into more than fashion, it became cultural storytelling.

Hashian balanced the boldness with understated grace. She styled her blonde curls into a chic updo and let the gown’s textured detailing speak for itself, proving that minimalism can shine as brightly as extravagance. Her look added harmony to Johnson’s daring ensemble, creating a couple’s debut that blended strength with sophistication.

Together, they embodied power and authenticity, proving that the Met Gala stage thrives on transformation.

Johnson didn’t just wear couture, he redefined masculinity, honoured heritage, and elevated fashion into cultural art, while Hashian amplified the moment with timeless elegance.
