Scooby-Doo: Origins First Look Unveiled

Netflix unveils the first look at Scooby-Doo: Origins, reimagining the beloved franchise with a fresh Mystery Inc. crew. Scooby himself is absent from the preview, with his presence expected to be crafted later through VFX.

Filming rolls in Atlanta with an ensemble cast: McKenna Grace as Daphne, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma, Maxwell Jenkins as Fred, and Frank Welker returning as the voice of Scooby-Doo.

The eight-part series dives into the gang’s very first case during their final summer at camp, sparked by a haunting mystery surrounding a lost Great Dane puppy.

Writers Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg lead the project, joined by executive producers Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinker, Adrienna Erickson, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh Redman. Toby Haynes directs, with Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti productions backing the series.

The younger cast’s enthusiasm drives Mystery Inc. into a new era – a passion praised by Matthew Lillard, who portrayed Shaggy Rogers, and Grey DeLisle, the voice of Daphne Blake – bridging generations and keeping the legacy alive.
