The buzz around No Entry 2, the sequel to the 2005 hit comedy No Entry, just took a surprising turn. While fans were looking forward to seeing singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh join the franchise, recent reports suggest that he has exited the film.
Creative Differences or Date Clashes?
According to a report by Filmfare, Diljit was initially enthusiastic about collaborating with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor for this comic caper. However, sources claim that over time, he found it difficult to align with the creative direction of the project, prompting his departure due to “creative differences.”
But producer Boney Kapoor has denied this claim. When contacted, Kapoor clarified, “Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out.”
Director Anees Bazmee remained tight-lipped about the matter, saying, “I will not be able to speak about the matter right now. It is better if you reach out to Boney for the same.”
Cast and Updates on No Entry 2
The sequel is set to star Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles. There are also reports that Tamannaah Bhatia may join the cast, with her character rumored to be similar to Bipasha Basu’s from the original film, although no official confirmation has been made.
No Entry 2 is directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor. The film is slated for a late 2025 release.
The original No Entry featured Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan, with a storyline centered on marital chaos triggered by a mischievous friend. The sequel promises a fresh twist on the original’s madcap humor, although its final cast is still under wraps.
