Overview

The Dubai Frame is a consummate display of Dubai’s evolution as a metropolitan. Its three distinct sections show, through time. It shows how Dubai moved from the state of a fishing village to its current self. This frame showcased Dubai as the metropolis. This is one of the most well-known structures in the city of Dubai. 

Upon entering the exhibition, the guests first see the ‘Old Gallery,’ the origins of Dubai. It encapsulates the development of the compromises the Emirs went through. Flashes and projecting, serving as the sights and odors of ‘Old Dubai,’ give this gallery the essential aspects of a realistic experience. 

The main platform of the gallery is reachable by a fast elevator ride. It provides visitors with vast sights of the whole area. As it blasts them 150 meters all the way to the sky bridge with views of 360°.

From this vantage point, we witness exciting scenes, to the north are the historical zones. Moreover, the wonderful doll-like scenes to the south where modern Dubai, truly fascinating for the eyes. Other notable features include augmented reality which give visitors a high level of engagement especially in identifying buildings in Dubai.

For the daring, this area had a square transparent platform that measured 25 square meters which gave brilliant vistas of the earth directly below. 

As the last part of their trip, they reach ‘Future Gallery’, here through virtual reality vision, Dubai is changed into the views fifty years from the present, featuring all the latest development.

Highlights

  • Impressive Dimensions: 2,000 tons of steel and 9,900 cubic meters of reinforced concrete are used to build Dubai Frame, which has impressive dimensions of a 93-meter width and a height of 150 meters.
  • Design & Symbolism: The frame’s golden stainless steel’s rectangular shape. The exterior is Dubai’s brilliance’ architecture. The golden ratio and the 2020 exhibition logo inspire it.

Know Before You Go

  • Location: You can reach the Dubai Frame, located at Zabeel Park, through Gate 4 on Sheikh Rashid Road.  
  • Entry Guidelines: Entry is free of charge for any child under the age of three and People of Determination. Children aged below 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Parking: The first half an hour is free and thereafter, a charge will be made per hour.
  • Accessibility: Al Jafiliya Metro Station (Red Line) is the nearest metro station.  
  • Weather Policy: Due to conditions of extreme weather, the management of Dubai Frame reserves the right to temporarily close the establishment for security reasons. In such cases, we cannot refund the ticket but can reschedule it instead.

Additional Information

  • Restrictions: Pets are not allowed. Smoking, eating and drinking is forbidden. Visitors should cover their tattoos and wear appropriate clothing. Large bags and strollers need to be stored at Gate 4.
  • Important Safety Notes: Don’t lean on or intrude upon the railing, do not climb up to touch exhibits and do not put children on the railing.
  • Timings: During the Holy Month of Ramadan, we change the opening and closing times to 11 AM to 12 AM.

Cancellation Policy

Although Dubai Frame tickets cannot be refunded, they are flexible for use until April 4, 2025.
