Siddhant Chaturvedi shared that he didn’t exit the film due to other reasons but because of concerns raised by his father at the time regarding Brahmastra movie.
Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi became a prominent actor after he starred next to Deepika Padukone in Gehraiyaan. However, did you know after that he was approached for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer movie Brahmastra? He recently clarified why he didn’t end up in the highly anticipated film Brahmastra. Contrary to some reports, Siddhant didn’t exit the film due to other reasons but because of concerns raised by his father at the time. He shared that according to his dad starring next to Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt will be equivalent to degrading himself.
Siddhant’s early Brahmastra offer
When Ayan Mukerji approached Siddhant for a role in Brahmastra, Siddhant was still early in his career, having only done a few ads. At that stage, he described himself as a “nobody” in the film industry. Siddhant was excited about the opportunity but faced skepticism from his father.
He said, “I was elated that I will be getting a three-film contract with Dharma,” Siddhant shared in an interview with Humans of Bombay. “I met Ayan, who showed me his vision of Brahmastra. I had only done a handful of ads by then, so I was a nobody.”
Siddhant’s father left unimpressed
When Siddhant told his father about the offer, his father was concerned about his visibility among such high-profile stars as Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan. Siddhant recalled, “He asked me, ‘Toh tujhe kaun dekhega (so, who will notice you)?’”
Siddhant’s father questioned whether he should commit to the film without knowing the full script or his role in it. “He said, ‘Nahi beta, I don’t think you should do it. Do you have the script, have you auditioned for it?’”

Siddhant also spoke about his broader career goals and his refusal to settle for side roles. “The problem wasn’t that I had no offers, but I knew I only wanted to be a hero, to do leading parts,” he explained. “I was blacklisted because people thought, ‘Who is this person saying no?’”
He noted that even though he was turning down offers, he was confident in his potential and didn’t want to short-sell himself. “I didn’t want to short-sell myself,” he added.
