Stree 2 actress Shraddha Kapoor once proposed Varun Dhawan

Shraddha Kapoor recalls an interesting childhood memory when she had proposed Varun Dhawan.

Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, who have been friends since childhood, have shared the screen in popular dance films like ABCD 2 and Street Dancer 3D, both directed by Remo D’Souza. Their on-screen chemistry has always been a hit with fans.

In 2022, Shraddha made a special appearance in the song Thumkeshwari from Varun’s film Bhediya, and this year, Varun returned the favour with a special appearance in Shraddha’s upcoming film Stree 2.

In a recent podcast with Shubankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Shraddha Kapoor shared a humorous childhood memory about having a crush on Varun. She recalled proposing to him when they were just eight years old. Shraddha described how, during one of their dad’s film shoots, they ended up playing on top of a mountain. With a small crush on Varun, she playfully confessed her feelings by saying, “You love I,” expecting him to understand the reversed message. Varun, however, quickly responded that he didn’t like girls and then ran away.

On the podcast, the Aashiqui 2 actress said, “Usne bola, ‘Mujhe ladkiyan pasand nahi hain.’ Aur wo bhaag ke chala gaya fir.”

Today, Shraddha and Varun are close friends. Varun Dhawan is happily married to Natasha Dalal, and the couple recently welcomed their daughter. On the other hand, Shraddha was reportedly dating Rahul Mody, but she recently unfollowed him on social media, leading to speculation that they may have parted ways.

Speaking of Stree 2, Varun Dhawan not only makes a special appearance in the movie, but he also has a special dance number with Shraddha Kapoor called Khoobsurat. In the end credits scene, we see Varun’s Bhaskar crushing on Shraddha’s character. The horror comedy also stars Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The movie has received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. Shraddha and Rajkummar’s movie is also minting great numbers at the box office.

Varun Dhawan will again appear as the wolf in Bhediya 2. The movie is scheduled for a 2025 release. It would be interesting to see whether Shraddha makes a special appearance in the sequel or not.
