Grammy winners Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell stepped out to support their mother, environmental advocate Maggie Baird, at a lively fundraiser in Los Angeles. The event, hosted by Baird’s nonprofit Support+Feed, combined pickleball matches with game night fun to raise money for plant-based community meal programs.
Held at PIKL L.A., the inaugural Pickleball Invitational drew a mix of celebrities and supporters. Angeline Jolie attended with her son Pax, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard joined in, and former Spice Girl Melanie C also made an appearance. Guests enjoyed plant-based meals from partners Cena Vegan and Strong Roots, while Live nation and WME backed the night as sponsors.
Baird addressed the crowd before the tournament, highlighting the urgency of food access in L.A., communities still recovering from the devastating 2025 wildfires. It’s extremely moving to see our community come together to support our neighbours,” she said.
Pickleball beginners and seasoned players competed for a championship spot, while others opted for UNO, ping-pong, or simply relaxed in the lounge. Proceeds supported Support+Feed’s mission, which includes emergency relief, educational programs, and sustainable food initiatives. Founded in 2020, Support+Feed tackles climate change through food choices, encouraging plant-based menus in entertainment venues. Baird has championed sustainability on Billie Eilish’s tours, pushing for eco-friendly travel and food drives. She recently partnered with WETA on Climate Kitchen, a sustainable lifestyle series set to premiere in 2027.
