Dune 3 Electrifies CinemaCon with Epic Opening Battle

Warner Bros. and Legendary stunned CinemaCon with a seven-minute opening from Dune: Part Three, plunging audiences into violent, galaxy-shaking clashes. Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides now rules as Padishah Emperor, facing a forced marriage to Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh), a fractured bond with Chani (Zendaya), and a jihad spreading in his name.

Director Denis Villeneuve, joined by Chalamet, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa, introduced the footage, revealing Paul consumed by his darkest vision. Villeneuve described the trilogy’s evolution – contemplative, then epic, now a high-velocity thriller, promising sharper pacing, more action, and deeper emotion.

The showcase featured Fremen performers and heartfelt reflections from Villeneuve and Chalamet, who called working with the director “the biggest honor” of his career. The movie will hit theaters on December 18, 2026, closing the saga with a powerful finale.
