Drishyam 3 Crosses ₹236 Cr Worldwide, Maintains Strong Run

Mohanlal’s Drishyam 2 continues its successful theatrical journey, holding steady nearly three weeks after release. Despite a slight dip in collections, the crime thriller remains a major draw at the box office.

On Day 20, the film earned ₹40 lakhs net in India, marking a 20% drop from the previous day’s ₹50 lakhs. Its worldwide gross has now reached ₹236.11 crore, with ₹107.33 crore net from India and ₹111.60 crore from overseas markets. The Malayalam version led the charge, contributing ₹39 lakhs net while the Telugu version added ₹1 lakh. Kerala dominated state-wise collections, generating ₹43 lakhs out of the day’s ₹46 lakhs total.

Director Jeethu Joseph recently discussed remake plans. He confirmed that Drishyam 3 is currently being adapted only in Hindi. According to him, the original climax did not align with audience expectations in other industries. The Hindi team consulted him before making changes, and he approved modifications to better suit their stars and viewers. With strong numbers and ongoing adaptations, Drishyam 3 continues to prove its lasting impact across languages and markets.
