Up until now, I don’t think any of us have spent so much time looking into the safety of our vacation before traveling. I mean, we all know the golden rules of traveling, like don’t walk in a dodgy part of the city alone at night, keep your valuables hidden, or make sure someone always knows where you are, but how about not catching a global virus? That’s a new one to add to the list.
And while countries are opening up and vaccination programs around the world are helping to cull the total number of cases of COVID, if you’re feeling a bit anxious about whether you’re putting yourself at further risk by traveling, just know you’re not alone.
This is why we’ve put together this list of destinations that the CDC rate as the lowest risk places to travel to. These destinations are all risk level 1, which means there is still a risk of COVID, but the risk is relatively low.
The CDC is still recommending that anyone traveling to these destinations is fully vaccinated.
Just remember that all of these destinations have their own travel restrictions in place, based on many different variants, such as which country you’re traveling from or whether you’re vaccinated, so before you get carried away planning a trip anywhere, check that you can actually go there first because arriving at the airport only to be turned away would result in some SERIOUS travel blues.
Just a side note: These countries are the safest countries currently, based on COVID rates alone. It doesn’t take into account any other safety risks you might encounter.
