Janhvi Kapoor starrer Good Luck Jerry’s shoot comes to a halt owing to farmers’ protests in Patiala

Janhvi Kapoor is currently gearing up for her upcoming movie titled Good Luck Jerry. Its shooting schedule was planned in Patiala.

Janhvi Kapoor jetted off to Punjab sometime back to commence the shoot of her upcoming movie Good Luck Jerry. However, trouble mounted for the actress as well as the rest of the cast and crew on Saturday evening owing to farmers’ protests. According to a report by TOI, the agitating farmers gathered around the film’s shoot site situated at the Bhupindra Road. That is the reason why the shoot was put to a halt by the concerned production house.

They reportedly shouted certain slogans like ‘Janhvi Kapoor vapas jao’ at the place. According to sources, a group of angry farmers suddenly stormed in while the shooting of Good Luck Jerry was going on. They are said to have raised slogans while holding fans. The shoot was reportedly called off keeping the situation in mind post which Janhvi and the rest of the cast returned to their hotels. However, the protesters are said to have staged a demonstration outside her hotel too.

Although no police complaint has been filed regarding the same, a police party is said to have reached the place soon after the incident happened. Talking about the Janhvi Kapoor starrer, it happens to be a remake of the South film titled Kolamavu Kokila. The same report by TOI states that another unit will be visiting Patiala for the shoot of another Hindi movie. The administration is reportedly looking into the matter.
