Serena Williams‘family didn’t need to travel to Aspen to have a snow day. They went sledding right in their home state, sunny Florida! Of course, the snow was fake, but it still built an impressive slippery slope that Serena and her three-year-old daughter, Olympia, went sledding down recently.
Olympia gave Serena a helpful push before the Grand Slam champion shot down the slope of fake snow, which Serena shared a video of on her Instagram page on Dec. 11. Serena’s husband and Olympia’s dad, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 37, smiled as he watched his gorgeous wife go down the icy hill on a tube. It looks like he was responsible for setting up the nearly-real winter wonderland! “Florida snow days by @alexisohanian,” Serena wrote in the video’s caption, in which she also thanked Olympia for “pushing” her.
Olympia also got her own chance on the sled, and Serena shared an adorable clip of the moment on her Instagram Story! The iconic mom-daughter duo even twinned in matching outfits that looked straight out of the Disney movie, Frozen: princess-like dresses made of a pretty champagne satin and glittery floral patterns, topped off by lilac sashes and beige cardigans.
Olympia is always living out her Disney dreams in princess dresses, which her famous mom sometimes joins her for. Serena even teased that “princess attire” is “required” for conversations with Olympia, and so she wore a matching dress with her daughter in April.
When they’re not playing dress-up, this mom-daughter duo is simply having fun with one another. In recent weeks, Olympia has practiced her doctor skills by giving her mom a fake COVID test, and also joined Serena at the office where they showed off their mommy-and-me business casual outfits. Serena has also been accompanying little Olympia on the tennis court, after signing up her budding star for tennis lessons. It’s clear that boredom is not a word in Serena and Olympia’s dictionaries.
