The book, ‘Qatar Achievements on Vocational Safety’ highlights the country’s progress and development. It also shows Qatar’s drive to cater to labourers and guaranteeing the fundamental rights of workers.

Earlier this year, on 28 April 2020, the World Day for Safety and Health was observed, following the major achievements of the State of Qatar in supporting and protecting the environment from the hazards of pollution.

The Ministry of Environment is supporting occupational safety in various sectors and raising safety awareness among workers to avoid accidents at worksites. The ministry confirmed its implementation of various programs and training workshops in the field of safety, security and health, in cooperation with different governmental entities to ensure high level of awareness and commitment to the rules pertaining to safety regulations.

The awards ceremony was one of the major attractions of the event. Excellence awards were delivered to local companies that implemented the best occupational safety standards. In addition, safety awards were presented to companies in various categories – small and medium enterprises, real estate, oil and gas, retail, and health sector organizations.
