With Eid al-Fitr just around the corner, hear how Dubai’s modes of public transport will be affected by the festive season. Further to the announcement about revised timings of transport services and customer centres during Eid holidays from 19 March until 21 March 2026.
This is in order to facilitate smooth travel while employees are able to observe the holiday, according to the updates.
Free Public Parking During Eid
As for one of the simplest advantages during Eid, you have free public parking throughout Dubai. All public parking spaces will also be free between the first and third days of Eid.
But multi-storey parking facilities are exempted and their usual fees will remain in effect. The normal fees for parking lots will be effective from the fourth day of Eid in the city.
This also allows families and visitors to navigate the City and experience fun for free during the festivities, freeing them from parked vehicle charges.
Dubai Metro and Tram Timings
Public transport services like Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram will run on extended Eid timings.
Dubai Metro
Red Line and Green Line stations will operate at the following times:
18–21 March: 05:00 – 01:00 (following day)
Sunday, March 22: 8:00 am – 1:00 am (next day)
Airlines have flexible schedules during extended holiday hours to make sure their customers travel comfortably during late night celebrations and parties.
Dubai Tram
Dubai Eid tram timings are as follows:
18–21 March: 6 am – 1 am (the following day)
Sunday, 22 March: 9.00am – 1.00am (following day)
These services link main attractions, such as Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence, making holiday travel more manageable.
Bus and Marine Transport Updates
Passengers using buses or water transport services are advised to check updated schedules through the S’hail app. The app provides real-time information for:

- Water Taxi
- Dubai Ferry
- Abras
- Electric heritage abras
Important Bus Route Changes
During Eid period, certain bus routes will perform as below:
E100: It will cease operations from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station commencing the afternoon of 18 March until (including) 22 March.
E101: From Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi.
E102: Operate between 19–22 March 2026 from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Musaffah
Passengers are advised to file their travel ahead.
Customer Happiness Centres
During Eid, most of the Customer Happiness Centres will be closed. However, the following centres will continue to remain open:
- Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Centre
- Happiness Centres of the RTA in Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar, and Al Kifaf as well as the Head Office.
While these smart centres will operate round the clock, 24/7 to keep delivering essentials to customers.
Vehicle Inspection Centres
Vehicle technical inspection centres will close from 19 to 21 March during the Eid holiday.
Services will resume on Sunday, 22 March at several centres including:
- Tasjeel Al Twar
- AutoPro Al Mankhool
- Tasjeel Al Awir
- Tasjeel Discovery Gardens
- Al Yalayis
- Shamil Al Muhaisnah
- Al Mutakamela Al Quoz
- Shamil Nad Al Hamar
If the holy month of Ramadan completes 30 days, the holiday may extend until Sunday, 22 March for all service provider centres.
