Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have officially concluded their protracted divorce proceedings after more than eight years of legal disputes.
According to People magazine, Jolie’s legal team confirmed on December 30, 2024, that both parties have reached an agreement, bringing closure to a high-profile case that began in September 2016.
Jolie and Pitt, who were married for two years and together for 12, ended their relationship following an incident on a private plane that allegedly involved an altercation between Pitt and their six children. While authorities investigated the claims, Pitt was not charged, and Jolie later chose not to pursue legal action.
In a statement, Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, remarked, “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. Angelina is relieved that this part of the process is over but remains exhausted by the long journey.”
