Bollywood star Disha Patani has made her Hollywood debut in The Portal of Force, the first chapter of the Statiguards vs Holiguards Saga. She plays Jessica, the “Chosen One” caught between two rival factions, a role that pushed her creatively and positioned her as the emotional core of the film.
After the trailer dropped on May 7, Disha called the experience “thrilling and terrifying”. She said working with a diverse cast gave her fresh insights and allowed her to carry lessons from Indian cinema onto a global stage. “Storytelling transcends language and geography. Honesty on screen is universal”, she reflected.
Directed by Kevin Spacey, returning after two decades, the action-thriller blends supernatural battles with mythic storytelling. Created by Lado Okhotnikov, the film features Disha alongside Kevin Spacey, Tyrese Gibson, and Dolph Lundgren, setting the stage for a high-octane franchise.
