Paresh Rawal Rejoins Hera Pheri 3, Dismisses Rift Rumours: “There Was No Controversy”

Paresh Rawal Confirms Return to Hera Pheri 3, Says “There Was Never Any Controversy”

After weeks of uncertainty and speculation, Paresh Rawal has officially confirmed that he’s back in Hera Pheri 3. In a recent podcast conversation with Himanshu Mehta, the veteran actor addressed the much-talked-about exit and clarified the situation around the film, saying that everything is now resolved.

“There’s No Controversy”

Responding to questions about the supposed feud or creative differences that led to his earlier exit, Rawal brushed off the rumours. “There’s no controversy,” he stated. “When a film has been so dearly loved by the audience, it becomes our responsibility to treat it with even more care. We owe it to the fans who have given this franchise their love for over two decades.”

He emphasized the importance of unity and dedication, adding, “I always believed that everyone should come together and give their best. That’s all there is to it.”

The OG Trio Is Back

When asked whether the beloved trio—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh himself—would reunite, Rawal confirmed that not only are they returning, but the collaboration had always been in the works. “The film was going to happen earlier too,” he laughed, “but we just had to fine-tune things. Everyone involved—Akshay, Suniel, Priyadarshan—is immensely creative, and we’ve all been friends for many, many years.”

The Brief Exit That Shook Fans

Earlier this year, fans were stunned when news broke of Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit from Hera Pheri 3. Reports suggested that Akshay Kumar, who is also co-producing the film, had even taken legal action, prompting Paresh to return the signing amount along with 15% interest. Though things appeared tense on the surface, Rawal’s recent comments have put those worries to rest.

Legacy of a Cult Comedy Franchise

Paresh Rawal’s portrayal of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, fondly called Babu Bhaiya, remains one of the most iconic characters in Indian cinema. The Hera Pheri franchise started in 2000 under director Priyadarshan and saw a successful sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, in 2006 directed by Neeraj Vora. The films are loved globally for their humor, timeless dialogues, and the impeccable chemistry among the lead trio.

With Priyadarshan reportedly back at the helm for Hera Pheri 3, expectations are sky-high. Fans now have reason to celebrate, knowing that the legendary trio is reuniting to deliver another dose of laughter.
