Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal has finally broken his silence on stepping away from the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3, directed by Priyadarshan. Fans were left surprised and disheartened when the actor confirmed that he would not be reprising his iconic role in the third installment of the cult comedy series.
Rumors had been swirling about possible creative disagreements or remuneration issues. However, in a candid interview with Mid-Day, Rawal cleared the air and set the record straight.
No Creative Clashes or Pay Disputes
Addressing the speculation, Paresh Rawal clarified that his departure had nothing to do with any disputes — creative or financial. He said,
“I have immense love and respect for Priyadarshanji. We’ve created magic on screen before, and I’m sure we will again in the future. There were no disagreements or monetary issues involved.”
Instead, the seasoned actor revealed that he simply didn’t feel connected to the role at this point in time.
“It may have come as a shock to many. The trio — Akshay, Suniel, and myself — has always been loved. But for now, I don’t feel like I belong to this project. That’s the only reason.”
Is There Still Hope for His Return?
While the decision appears final for now, Paresh didn’t entirely shut the door on returning to the franchise someday.
“I always say, never say never. You never know what the future holds,” he added, leaving a glimmer of hope for fans who still wish to see him reunite with the beloved Hera Pheri gang.
