The Chess Championship (Online) for Kids has a unique feature which allows the young participants to not only compete with each other but also with time! This rapid/blitz-rated competition is for kids aged 5 – 16. It allows them to experience a tournament with a great rush, win the tournaments, and also enjoy themselves while they sit in their houses.
Format:
- The tournament lasts for 1 hour with no break where matches are played back to back. The players will be allocated according to the ranking so that there is no bias when placing players to be fought.
- There will incur a ‘5’ min time limit for every player during the covering of each game, hence bringing the essence of speed chess into the mix.
- Points scored in each match
Win: +2 Points
Draw: +1 Point
Loss: 0 points
- The top 3 players after one hour of intense chess action will be declared as winners.
Note: The format is liable to amendments at the organizer’s desire. The registered participants will be notified of the final rules and guidelines.

Event Details: General event information and complete rules of the event will be given after registration.
Competition Platform: Attend the Online Chess Championship competition using the platform indicated by the organizer.
Eligibility:
Open to children in the range of 5 years to 16 years of age.
Participants should have basic knowledge of chess and how the pieces move.
