As Abhishek Bachchan marks a major milestone—25 years in the Indian film industry—his father and iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t be prouder. In a touching gesture shared on X (formerly Twitter), Amitabh not only praised his son’s versatility but also expressed his heartfelt admiration for his cinematic journey.
Reacting to a fan-made video tribute showcasing Abhishek’s dynamic filmography, Amitabh wrote in Hindi:
“Is variety ko main pranaam karta hoon, aur apne putra ki sarahna karta hoon. Jee haan, pita hoon main uska, aur mere liye mera putra Abhishek sarahna karne yogya hai.”
(“I bow to this variety and praise my son. Yes, I am his father, and to me, my son Abhishek is worthy of praise.”)
The video celebrated Abhishek’s trademark comic timing, impactful performances, and his unique flair on-screen, earning widespread appreciation from fans and peers alike.

“One film is set to release in a few days, another has just begun shooting — the first day of King. My blessings, Bhaiyu… love and more.”
Abhishek Bachchan, who debuted with Refugee (2000), has since carved a niche with standout performances in Yuva, Sarkar, Dhoom, Delhi-6, Guru, and The Big Bull, among others.
His next release, Kaalidhar Laapata, premieres July 4 on Zee5. The film, directed by Madhumita, follows a man suffering from memory loss who finds unlikely companionship in an 8-year-old orphan, leading to a transformative journey.
Also in the pipeline is King, directed by Siddharth Anand, which boasts a star-studded cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, and Suhana Khan.
