Auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali has cracked a three-film deal with music label Saregama for the upcoming Gangubai Kathiawadi and two other exciting projects.
Whenever a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film comes out, it always gets surrounded by a plethora of news and headlines. In the latest one, the director behind Bajirao Mastani and Devdas has signed up with music label giant Saregama on a three-film deal. First of those would be the Alia Bhatt-led Gangubai Kathiawadi which is suppose to release on 30 July 2021 and no official announcement has come yet to postpone the film. Saregama as a music label thrives on the immense song library of the golden era of and it’s Sanjay Bhansali’s favorite kind of music.
Bhansali’s astute filmography that is majorly filled with historic consists of music that reminds people of the lineage of Naushad, Bade Ghulam Ali, and OP Nayyar. Saregama’s genre of music is the exact blend of what Sanjay Bhansali composes. Speaking on the collaboration with Bollywood Hungama Sanjay Bhansali said, “What an absolute delightful moment it is for me then that the music of three of my most zealous projects in the near future will add to this rich legacy of Saregama.”
The trailer of Sanjay Bhansali’s epic Gangubai Kathiawadi met with universal love for both him and Alia Bhatt. Promotions of the film have been put on the back burner considering that theaters are shut due to COVID 19 pandemic and no big film is eyeing a recent release. Sanjay Bhansali has announced his next to be Baiju Bawraa and the casting of the film has not yet been finalized though he could bring the ultimate stars Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor in the same frame.
