Jennifer Lopez, 51, and Alex Rodriguez, 45, have been feeling the effects of COVID-19 when it comes to planning their upcoming wedding, so they’re taking some time to make sure the event will be everything they want it to be. The singer talked about how she and the former New York Yankees player have had to postpone getting hitched twice due to the virus, in a new interview, and revealed because of that, she’s in “no rush” for it to happen.
“You know we’ve talked about so many different things cause we had to cancel the wedding last year because of COVID, because of the quarantine, and we actually did it twice, which people don’t know, where we had it in different times – first one canceled and then second one canceled as well – and so I don’t know,” she told Mario Lopez in a new virtual interview with Access Hollywood. “We kind of have let it go for a second.”
She went on to explain that because it will be a truly special day for her and Alex, there are a lot of factors to consider before confirming the date, including whether or not they want a big or small event, but it’s something they’re willing to wait for. “I think we just feel like, ‘Let’s just wait it out.’ There’s no rush. We’re good. Everything’s cool. It will happen when the time is right,” she said.
Jennifer and Alex became engaged in March 2019 after he proposed to her with a massive diamond ring, which she showed off in an Instagram post that she captioned with a series of hearts. They first began dating in early 2017 and have shared many memorable moments together since then. From getting close with each other’s kids to attending various public events together, these two seem like a match made in Heaven and we can’t wait until the time is right for them to say, “I do”!
