Bridgerton Season 5 Expands its Cast with Fresh Faces

Netflix’s beloved Regency-era drama Bridgerton is gearing up for its fifth season with exciting new additions to the cast. Produced by Shonda Rhimes, the upcoming chapter will spotlight the romance between Francesca Bridgeton (Hannah Dodd) and Michaela Striling (Masali Baduza), while weaving in new characters who promise to stir the ton.

Tega Alexander joins as Christopher Anderson, the son of Lord Marcus Anderson (Daniel Francis). Dubbed a “Regency-era Casanova”, Christopher’s charm could rival the bridgeton bachelors though beneath his cheeky exterior lies a current of self-doubt that may complicate his rise in society.

Jaqueline Boatswain has been cast as Helen Striling, Michaela’s spirited mother. Described as the very source of her daughter’s fire, Helen blends vivaciousness with tough love as she guides Michaela through London’s social season.

Gemma Knight Jones will portray Lady Elizabeth Ashworth, Michaela’s confidante and London guide. Playful yet pragmatic, Elizabeth’s grounded realism makes her a trusted ally in navigating society’s unspoken rules.
